Welcome to New Road Hote1

Everything you need. Nothing you don't.

New Road Hotel is a stylish 79 bedroom boutique hotel in East London. Housed in a former textile factory in Whitechapel, this unique hotel is inspired by the New York metropolis.

New Road Hotel features a signature restaurant by acclaimed chef Marco Pierre White, a fitness studio, free WiFi throughout the property and several social zones - enjoy live music, play pool in the games zone or relax in the library.

ROOMS

All of our bedrooms are cleverly designed to maximise space whilst keeping original factory features, to give you everything you need for your stay and nothing you don’t.

We don’t do overpriced minibars and fiddly kettles in our rooms. Instead grab free unlimited tea, coffee and hot chocolate from our vending machines, conveniently located on each floor.

All of our bedrooms have original exposed brickwork and large windows to allow natural daylight to flood through your room – a feature which can be hard to find in London.

Each room has a 49” flatscreen TV, Hypnos bed, rainfall shower and air conditioning.

While our prices are modest, the bespoke experience we offer is entirely unlike any other hotel in the area. It’s unique, interesting and in keeping with our ethos of creativity and independence.

For a truly bespoke experience stay in our Loft room, complete with its own private rooftop Hot Tub – perfect for relaxing at the end of the day and enjoying the views of London’s urban metropolis.

MARCO PIERRE WHITE

Marco has teamed-up with New Road Hotel to launch his first-ever Chophouse, right here in Whitechapel. Mr. White’s English Chophouse gives a nod to tradition and celebrates everything that chophouses are famed for: quality meat and hearty portions.

The Chophouse menu cleverly combines English classics whilst also introducing the signature French flair that epitomizes Marco’s cooking style.

Marco Pierre White was the first and youngest British chef to achieve three Michelin stars. His good looks and devilish behaviour led to the media dubbing him ‘the original rock-star chef.’ However, it was his work behind the stove that really grabbed the headlines. As well as winning many accolades, he was also responsible for kick-starting the careers of a number of high-profile chefs, including Gordon Ramsay and Heston Blumenthal, who trained under him.

History

The building was designed by architect Hume Victor Kerr, whose modern style is prevalent in the Whitechapel area. It was used as a garment factory until it's closure in 2000.

In 2011, the Malik brothers - Monsur, Masrur, and Moksud - decided to convert the disused factory building, where their father had previously worked, into a luxury design hotel. New Road Hotel is a true passion project for its owners, as the building is woven into their family history.

Following a multi-million-pound investment, New Road Hotel opened its doors to the public. The hotel’s interior design and open plan architecture reflects both its heritage and location within London’s famous East End, where the garment trade boomed in the 1960s.

With exposed brickwork, open lobby spaces flooded with light and incredible views of London’s skyline, New Road Hotel is a hotel with a difference. The focus is on sleek and efficient design, five-star service, and high functionality over frills and opulence.
