We are Open - Come and Say Hello!

Well, the time has come. We are now officially open!

After a long winter and spring, our doors are finally open to welcome you to our amazing new hotel! The whole crew have been working tirelessly to ensure we can offer you the warmest of welcomes along with stunning surroundings.

Whether you fancy a coffee with friends or want to indulge in one of our Cereal Cocktails, or perhaps you need to arrange a catch up with a business colleague, the Cereal Grind is a fab and funky place to meet.

There is a real buzz and vibe when you enter and we are not your traditional hotel – as it's a former textile warehouse, elements of this can still be seen from the industrial chic décor to the exposed brickwork, you can see why our staff love coming to work.

Why not come and sample one of our cocktails or perhaps dine in our Marco Pierre White Chophouse where the food has been carefully prepared by our Chefs, who you can see working whilst you dine in our theatre kitchen.

There is so much to see and do in East London, if you are planning to visit us, make sure to check out some of these New Road Crew favourites:

Wilton's

Wilton's Music Hall

Located in the heart of Whitechapel is Wilton's Music Hall, one of the oldest music halls around it has a 300 year history. A fantastic venue where theatre, opera, dance, cinema & music all come together in one venue. The hall has been restored to its original charm, why not check out what's on.

Brick Lane

The best day to visit Brick Lane is undoubtedly a Sunday. The big street market is crammed full of food stalls, vintage finds, jewellery and all the art prints one could hope for. The Old Truman Brewery is perfect for any foodie and is also home to stalls with lots of independent fashion brands. Don't forget to stop off at Beigel Bake for their infamous bagels too!

East End thrift store

East End Thrift Store

Who doesn't love a bargain? Housed in a warehouse in an alleyway, the East End Thrift Store is a hole in the wall treasure trove full of bargain vintage finds. Racks are filled with faux fur, jumpers, jeans, jackets and all the garish shirts one could ask for. Coming from a textile background we just love a bit of vintage & retro styling. It's worth liking the Facebook page to keep up to date with the regular £1 sales they have where, yes, everything is only £1. Alternatively, they offer a £10 fill-a-bag option. But be warned don't let the musky smell of old clothes get in the way of finding yourself a bargain.

Don't Get Cross, Cross Stitch

Learn the art of subversive cross stitch by getting crafty and slightly sweary at this friendly workshop, where you'll learn to create your very own expressive cross stitched hoop.

Channel your inner tensions into decorative textiles. Rude, lewd, crude or just plain honest - this workshop is a playful take on the traditional 'home sweet home' sampler. Instead we celebrate chaos, discord and everyday stresses by keeping our hands busy and making peace with life's many micro-aggressions!

The class is all in good humour and during the workshop, participants will be guided through the basics of cross stitching as well as a simple lesson in layout, so you can transfer your design from paper onto fabric.

This "Flow" inducing workshop promises to be a lot of fun and will also encourage thoughtful and reflective action through creative craft therapy. All materials, including wall hoop will be provided so you can go away with your very own piece of modern cross stitch art to hang, pride of place in your home.
